TWO THAT ARE VERY DANGEROUS
Pregnant women have to worry about any kind of medicines
possibly causing birth defects or miscarriage. Natural medicine, alternative
medicine, aromatherapy, and acupressure all seem like perfect options
during pregnancy. The two most well-known remedies can cause miscarriage or
premature birth, but few web sites mention this.
There is a pressure point on the hand for getting rid of a
headache (or most any other pain in the area of the head or face). It involves
squeezing the fleshy part of the hand between the thumb and forefinger. This
is one pressure point that is forbidden to be used during pregnancy because it
causes contractions, and is highly effective during labor for the same reason.
The same can be said for applying or even sniffing peppermint
oil. Sipping peppermint tea might be fine for the nausea that accompanies pregnancy,
but women should stay away from the essential oil while they are pregnant.
Head lice do not limit themselves to "dirty" people or poor people.
They enjoy the blood of "blue bloods" just as much. The parents we knew who were the
most irresponible in taking care of their children's lice were a doctor and nurse couple
~ who were neither poor nor dirty.
