Design Toscano has historical and antique replicas in styles of French, Art Deco, Art Nouveau, and Classic. Two items that stand out are pediments as wall shelves; and they have niches, friezes. They have a large selection of rods and finials to display their beautiful tapestries. The stained glass windows are nice but seem to be what you would find anywhere. Enchanted
Forest Imports specializes in garden accessories and fountains. The items
that really caught our eye include all types of Victorian street lights and
sconces, the fanciest fencing and gates, cast-iron garden edging and mailbox,
and hand-carved marble fireplace mantels. And, the marble gazebo would be at
home in any Victorian garden. Their cast-iron and bronze urns, bases and
statues are sophisticated enough to also reside indoors, as would the
hand-carved marble tiles. The online Enchanted Forest contains a small
sampling of their imports from around the world, but a catalogue is available.
IHDG has a wonderful line of "instant" stencils. What are instant stencils, you ask yourself? They are not blank stencils you dab paint into, they are not stick-on decals. They seem like decals that, when pressed with their special tool, allow the painted design to go from a plastic sheet to your wall. These come in a large variety, but our favorites are the "architectural" designs which can make it look like your home is full of carvings and mouldings.
